Richardson Bay Sanitary District

About Us

The District is an independent local agency governed by an elected Board of Directors, who are all residents of the District. A District Manager, appointed by the Board, runs the day-to-day operations of the District and advises the Board.

The Board meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month at 4:00PM at the District Office.

The District’s mission is:

“Providing Reliable Sewer Collection, Treatment and Disposal Service at a Reasonable Cost to the Richardson Bay Sanitary District through its own actions and as a member of the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin”

To fulfill this mission, the District works diligently to implement necessary capital improvements to preserve and improve District infrastructure and provide oversight in establishing ongoing operation and maintenance activities that are efficient, cost-effective, comprehensive and environmentally responsible.
